AMEN! watching CNN yesterday there was a story about Bush going to Tanzania and giving a large monitary gift. It came with strings attached, the gift could only be used by countries that support democracy and Mr. Bush claimed that "The United States doesn't like dealing with liars." I had to laugh...
Well, for me, so much for those strings attached "scratch my back, i'll scratch yours" type of charitable contributions that Mr. Bush hands out to other countries. What I don't like about his administration is the invasion of Iraq and the killing of thousands of innocent lives. What I don't like is the possible invasion of Iran. I strongly believe that it is NOT okay for America to torture -- because it is NEVER okay to do such a horrible thing! Perhaps we can send once more a message to those yearning faces beyond our shores that we do care about them... that the matter to us. Diplomacy could work for the future of the United States. I just can't wait for this war in Iraq to end. And thank heavens, I am no longer there!
I totally agree with you, I have never liked Bush and I think he is a liar. And he put us in such a mess with this stupid war that we shouldn't even be in.
and it's not so much that he has blatantly lied to us on numerous occasions that really gets to me, it's the fact that he continues to stand there with that smirk on his face and act like he has no idea what a mess his administration has gotten us into as a country. The other day he was shocked to learn that gas prices are causing many families a great deal of angst as most of us working folks are struggling to find ways to cut corners in order to keep gas in our vehicles. He said he didn't know how bad it was. Where has he been for the past year? I guess when you don't actually have to worry about paying for gas you lose touch with those you are supposed to be helping but surely he drives by the gas station every now and then or maybe catches a glimpse of the news where they are constantly talking about the "crisis" many Americans are facing as they lose their homes to foreclosure. It's all very disappointing that we seem to have spun out of control so quickly. Let the countdown begin. Check out this website: http://www.bushslastday.com
